Retreat Program

"Why try? I am only going to fail and not measure up..."

Since this is about God, is it even worth trying? What if Jesus not only wants you to succeed, but even sets you up to succeed? Jesus used a lot of humor in His teaching, and we’ll talk about it. Jesus never fired anyone, and even fought for the people that were belittled for their lack of holiness. Jesus was a leader who made it safe to follow him. And just as important, he unleashed people to live the lives they never dreamed they could. We’ll talk about the adventure, and we’ll experience it: the adventure of Safe Jesus, Unsafe Living.

Speaker - Jack Dyson

Life is an adventure – you live yours or you watch others live theirs. Jack's adventure has taken some interesting turns; things like falling in a sewer in India, visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums along with 13 other guys, training God’s people in Europe and Asia, going to Malaysia to golf on a missions trip, and walking the D-Day beaches of Normandy. Jack was drawn to Christ when he discovered that Jesus died for him so he could have a relationship with Him. He has since been growing into that awesome intimacy, and has had the privilege of fostering that adventure and intimacy
for others since. Because he found Jesus to be an incredibly safe leader, he has been encouraged and challenged to live an unsafe life.

Jack has been in ministry for over 33 years. Besides baseball, he enjoys soccer and photography. He has been married to his wife, Gladys, for 38 years, and has two married adult children and two grandkids.
