Retreat Program

Hmmm...we think we know who we are when we wake up each morning, but how quickly that can change! Unforeseen events, demands from family, friends, and even ourselves all have a huge part in shaping our identity. Do you wrestle with living up to those perceived expectations while trying to remain true to yourself? What if we try to slow down and consider the perspective of the One who created us? Could we find the truest version of ourselves by knowing the One who knows us even better than we know ourselves? Let's find out together and be challenged! Come join us for a weekend of refreshment and fellowship in a safe place surrounded by natural beauty and quiet landscapes.

Speaker - Doreen Hinkle

Doreen Hinkle is a local woman who is very familiar to Chapel Church as she and her family worshipped there for many years. She taught in both the Junior High and Women’s Sunday School Class for over 19 years. Doreen is known to be an encourager for pursuing God passionately with joy, life lessons and grace. She is a business woman in the community and together with Larry, her husband of 35 years, has founded TeleCom Business Solutions. They have two adult children. She continues to work in their business part-time, and also spends her time watching her three grandchildren. Doreen was a retreat speaker in the past and we are so excited to welcome her back!

Schedule

The retreat will begin at 5:30 pm on Friday with registration and a light supper. Our first gathering will be at 7:15 pm that evening. Saturday will include a morning session and an evening session. We will offer electives that you can choose during the afternoon time. Horseback riding is available at Camp Hebron, among other activites on and off site. You are free to be on your own, napping or socializing! If you're a night owl, the late evenings will include time to play games, have a snack, and, of course, more socializing! Dismissal will follow lunch on Sunday. Dress is casual and our atmosphere is very relaxed.

Accommodations

Relax in an all-in-one retreat center featuring motel-style rooms which can accommodate up to four people each. Rooms have one queen size bed, one twin bed, and one twin trundle bed. Linens and towels are provided. If you are unable to fill a room, please check the appropriate box on the registration form to have the registrar match you with roommates. Your payment submission should be based on your desired room capacity (if the capacity is not fulfilled, you will be responsible for the higher rate). Pricing includes five meals, two nights lodging, and activities for the entire weekend.

Transportation

Directions will be provided to all registrants. Travel time to Camp Hebron is about 70 minutes from Red Lion. If you desire to ride with someone or are willing to provide transportation, please indicate on the registration form. If you volunteer to drive, you will be contacted by the planning committee to make arrangements.

Click here to download a registration sheet, or, if you are a past attendee, check your mailbox soon! Additional hard copies are available at the Welcome Center. Don’t delay-send your deposit to save your place! If you need a roommate, please indicate on your form so we may help. Our retreats are open to all women at Chapel, your friends, and neighbors. We plan around the hope that “one size fits all” because our God meets us all where we are.
