We will once again retreat to Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA for a weekend away from March 20-22, 2020. Ladies, mark this date on your calendar for time away with God and friends!
As women, do we find ourselves looking below the surface of our daily tasks and relationships and wonder if the work of our hands is meaningful and lasting? Is what we set our hearts, mind and body to do each day purposeful and God-honoring? Quite simply, am I creating a Legacy for those around me, yet living in the moment with joy and contentment. We hope you consider joining our Spring Retreat so that we together can explore the gift of today as well as the sweet aroma of a God-filled legacy.
Speaker - Kelly Kipe
Kelly grew up as the daughter of missionaries in Zambia and Zimbabwe, Africa. At the age of 17, she came to the United Sates to attend Zion Bible Institue. It was there she met her husband, Garry, and they celebrated there 32nd anniversary this past August. Kelly and Gary have three adult children, Kayla, Kody, and Karlee. Ministry has led this family to Delaware, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. For the past 17 years, Kelly has served along side her husband at Bethel Aseembly in Chambersburg. She is currently teaching special needs children at Cumberland Valley Christion School in Chambersburg. Kelly has a heart for missions and mentoring younger women that God brings into her life.
The retreat will begin at 5:30 pm on Friday with registration and a light supper. Our first gathering will be at 7:15 pm that evening. Saturday will include a morning session and an evening session. We will offer electives that you can choose during the afternoon time. Horseback riding is available at Camp Hebron, among other activites on and off site. You are free to be on your own, napping or socializing! If you're a night owl, the late evenings will include time to play games, have a snack, and, of course, more socializing! Dismissal will follow lunch on Sunday. Dress is casual and our atmosphere is very relaxed.
Relax in an all-in-one retreat center featuring motel-style rooms which can accommodate up to four people each. Rooms have one queen size bed, one twin bed, and one twin trundle bed. Linens and towels are provided. If you are unable to fill a room, please check the appropriate box on the registration form to have the registrar match you with roommates. Your payment submission should be based on your desired room capacity (if the capacity is not fulfilled, you will be responsible for the higher rate). Pricing includes five meals, two nights lodging, and activities for the entire weekend.
Directions will be provided to all registrants. Travel time to Camp Hebron is about 70 minutes from Red Lion. If you desire to ride with someone or are willing to provide transportation, please indicate on the registration form. If you volunteer to drive, you will be contacted by the planning committee to make arrangements.
Click here to download a registration sheet, or, if you are a past attendee, check your mailbox soon! Additional hard copies are available at the Welcome Center. Don’t delay-send your deposit to save your place! If you need a roommate, please indicate on your form so we may help. Our retreats are open to all women at Chapel, your friends, and neighbors. We plan around the hope that “one size fits all” because our God meets us all where we are. Finally, if you have any questions, see a committee member below.
